Commercial façade sealant recurrence works
Tai Seng, Singapore 2026
Rope-access recurrence works re-sealing and re-coating the façade joints across several levels of a multi-storey commercial building, finished with a clean weatherproof bead.
The problem
A multi-storey commercial building on a recurring maintenance programme needed its façade sealant renewed across several levels, where ageing joints in the granite cladding were the weak point against wind-driven rain.
Our approach
Our IRATA team returned on schedule and worked the elevation on twin ropes, renewing the joints level by level and applying protective coating where needed, with no scaffolding and no disruption to the businesses inside.
Method
Twin-rope access to the façade, removal of failed sealant, joint preparation and fresh polyurethane sealant, plus roller-applied protective coating on the cladding, tooled to a clean finished line.
Outcome
The recurring elevations were re-sealed and re-coated in a single mobilisation, with a clean finished joint line and a documented record for the building’s maintenance file.
